A Little Piece of Our Hearts

It is always difficult to say goodbye to someone who has contributed so much to our camp program. However, that is where we find ourselves today. Izzy Hall and her spouse are moving to Colorado to pursue new adventures. This was not a decision they made lightly. They are very excited about the opportunity, and we are excited for them.

As many of you know, Izzy first came to Keystone Camp as an international staff member. Home is Australia, and Izzy has spent most of the past 5 years traveling the world. From 2019 through 2021, Izzy served as a counselor and Aide Director for us.

In the spring of 2022, she joined our year-round staff just in time for what we have been referring to as our Covid summer! We will be forever grateful for her hard work as our Staff Director through that very hard first summer and the two subsequent summers. Izzy brought new attention to our international staff. There could not have been a better support for them than a former international camp counselor.

Izzy’s contributions were not only with staff. She offered great creativity in designing t-shirts, stickers, sweatshirts, and other Keystone swag for Tuck Shop. As with all camp jobs, she became a Jack of all trades! Her resume now includes grillmaster, graphic designer, administrator, tennis instructor, homesickness specialist, and many other talents acquired in her time at Keystone.

Camp thrives on the contributions of those who make up our community. We give to and take from each other as we work together. Not a day goes by that we do not learn new things about ourselves. Each person leaves a piece of themselves with us when they move on to other opportunities. Izzy’s contributions were many, and we are very grateful for all she did in support of the Keystone program, our staff, and our campers.

You are built not to shrink down to less, but to blossom into more.
To be more splendid.
To be more extraordinary.
To use every moment to fill yourself up.

Izzy has many adventures ahead that will be splendid and extraordinary. We wish her well as she fills her bucket and continues to blossom in her life.
