Travel Directions

Flying

For campers who are flying by commercial airline or private plane, please see the “flying to camp” page for more specific information regarding campers flying alone.

If you decide to travel with your daughter, you will need to rent a car at the airport. We are unable to provide shuttle service to or from the airport for parents. Rideshare services Uber and Lyft are few and far between, and should not be relied upon for transportation to Keystone Camp. If you will be flying home after drop-off on Opening Day, we recommend your return flight leave no earlier than 12 pm due to our drop-off schedule and long security lines at the airport.

We recommend using the Asheville, NC airport, as it is approximately 30 minutes from camp. The airport is currently served by Allegiant, American, Delta, JetBlue (seasonally to/from Boston only), and United airlines. We don’t recommend using the Greenville, SC airport, as it is 1.5 hours away from camp, and requires a route on steep, curvy mountain roads. We are always happy to talk through airport logistics!

Driving

Update February 2025: Interstate 40 in the Pigeon River gorge (west of Asheville) was severally impacted by Hurricane Helene and is currently closed. There is a detour in place around the closure. If you are traveling on Interstate 40 from points west, please remember the detour in your travel plans.

Keystone Camp is located in western North Carolina, off Highway 64 on the southwest side of Brevard. We are just under a 3.5-hour drive from Atlanta, GA, and Greensboro, NC; 4 hours from Charleston, SC; 3 hours from Knoxville, TN; and 2.5 hours from Charlotte, NC.
