Brevard is beautiful
Keystone Camp is located just one mile southwest of downtown Brevard in Transylvania County. Brevard is notable for its quaint, walkable downtown with wonderful shops and fabulous restaurants. Brevard is home to the Brevard Music Center and a private four-year college. Brevard College offers a degree program in outdoor leadership, keeping with the offerings of our surroundings.
Brevard is the county seat of Transylvania County, a county that lives up to its name of “across the woods.” Transylvania County has Dupont State Recreational Forest, Pisgah National Forest and the Gorges State Park. Over 50% of the land in the county is owned by the public in these great recreational areas. The Gorges State Park was listed in National Geographic’s publication, 50 of the World’s Last Great Places.
Transylvania County also has over 250 waterfalls within its borders and the highest waterfall in the Eastern United States is just a few miles from camp on the North Carolina/South Carolina line.
