Cabin Counselor

Our cabin counselors teach activities during the day as well as fostering a tight knit community in their cabin. In activities, our counselors teach children valuable lessons by showing campers a new skill, helping them gain more confidence in a familiar activity, and leading by example. Living in a cabin with 8-12 girls and another co-counselor is also an opportunity for you to be a role model, friend, and leader. Our campers are with us for two, three, or four weeks at a time, so you will get to know them quite well! Our days are busy and full of laughter, friendship, and fun.

Requirements

To become a counselor you will need to:

  • Be at least 19 years of age and/or have finished a freshman year in college
  • Have a strong desire to work with children
  • Be willing to have a positive attitude as you help our campers grow

Summer Camp Internships

You can get school credit for working at camp. The skills that you develop and learn at camp (organization, scheduling, team work, problem solving, communication skills, and leadership) are recognized as important qualities by academic departments and every employer in the job market. Talk to your school to find out about the criteria and we will be happy to assist you with the paperwork.
