Are you at home?

We know that many of you may have been home from work or school for what feels like quite some time. Over the last few days, we have been reaching out to different staff members and campers to see what they have been up to while at home. We love to see how our community comes together to make the magic of camp happen for themselves outside of the summer. From the creative dances to the arts and crafts projects, it warms our heart to see how our campers connect over something we all are experiencing.

Good news! We have a few ideas that will help bring the magic of Keystone to your home. We have compiled a few recipes and a Zoom Evening Program for this Friday at 6 p.m. (EST)

It’s no secret that we love a sweet treat here at Keystone Camp. We have compiled a few links of some favorite camp recipes, as well as interactive projects that your campers know and love. Ask your camper about peanut butter squares, ice cream in a bag, or banana boats. Chances are they are fans of these favorites, and likely, you have these ingredients for at least one of these desserts at home.

Peanut butter squares! When asked about this camp classic, many campers will say it is their favorite dessert. Lucky for you, it is incredibly simple to make. They only require five ingredients and you don’t even have to turn on your oven! Here is a link to the recipe we use! click here

Ice cream in a bag! This is always a favorite cabin evening program. It’s short, simple, and of course, sweet! Feel free to garnish your finished product with sprinkles, oreos, or your favorite sundae topping! Again, you will only need five ingredients! Here is a link to the recipe our counselors use! Banana boats! A favorite outdoor cooking lesson is banana boats. They are super simple and can be done in your oven. Try doing this with your ripe bananas as an alternative to banana bread this week. It will be sure to remind you and your family of camp. Here is a link with further instruction. Click here

Friday evening we will be attempting an Online Evening Program through a Zoom call. Join us and some of our staff members for a spa night! We will be making a couple of simple face masks. Spa night is a classic evening program that our girls use for cabin bonding. We thought it might be fun to try and do it over a Zoom call. Here is the link for the meeting click here We will also be sharing this on our Instagram and Facebook. We chose masks based on ingredients you probably have in your home! Here is a list of what you might need for our Keystone Zoom Spa Night. We hope to see you tomorrow at 6:00 pm (EST)!
