Hello, July

We are so excited our July session has began! What a beautiful day for opening day.

Our amazing campers arrived between ten and noon, making for a fun and energetic morning here at Keystone. Four week girls and two week girls alike settled into their cabins, made friends, and prepared for weeks of good times ahead.

We ate a delicious lunch of chicken tenders, pasta salad, and fries to energize us for the afternoon. Then, dryads, pixies, and elves all rotated between the swim party, games in the gym, and activity sign ups. From there, we ran through an abbreviated activity schedule so girls could test out their new routine.

By then, it was time for a dinner of Ms. Bertha’s spaghetti and campfire! Opening day campfire is the only campfire of the session where campers don’t have to wear uniforms. We gather around and reign in the new session with songs and a discussion about heralds. The rain didn’t stop us from enjoying the evening; we simply had campfire in the pavilion instead!

This morning, we ate grits and scrambled eggs for breakfast to kickstart our first full day of activities! Everyone is so excited to be here and this is just the beginning!
