What a Wednesday! The day began with a breakfast of sausage, biscuits, and eggs. A day-long caving trip left early in the morning. Some girls went tubing on the French Broad, the Camp Crafts overnight headed out, and a a.m. trip to Paradise Falls left. There was more tubing in the afternoon after a lunch of sandwiches and a swimming trip to Whale’s Back. We ate dinner and played Gold Rush for evening program! The girls gathered in their team games teams to find the most rocks spray painted gold. At the end, whichever team’s basket was heaviest won. The results will be announced later in the session.
We kicked off our Thursday with oatmeal and cinnamon rolls. From there, our LITs and Aides went white water rafting with some Camp Carolina boys. More tubing trips headed to the French Broad. Some of our girls went climbing at Looking Glass and the Camp Crafts overnight returned. After a lunch of chili and baked potatoes, a p.m. hike to Devil’s Courthouse headed out. We ate chicken and veggie stir-fry for dinner and had Lip Sync for evening program! The cabins each got to pick a song and perform it for all of camp! How fun!
Wow, it’s Friday already?! We’re sad to see our Key Blue campers go! We ate breakfast casserole in the morning and soon after, a trip to Frying Pan, dryad tubing trips, and a canoeing trip to the Green all left. Later this evening, we’ll play Counselor Hunt! Once again, the girls gather with their team games teams to search for the hidden counselors. If found, the counselor has to give the girls a chip corresponding to their team. The team with the most chips wins!
We’ve got an exciting weekend ahead!
