We began Tuesday with Crabapple, Fairview, and Edgewood’s return from their campouts. For breakfast, we ate french toast casserole and sausage. Soon after, the three-day Camp Craft trip left as well as the CCB Field Day trip, and a.m. climb, and the Lake Jo overnight. We ate sloppy joes for lunch and enjoyed a packed afternoon of activities. Trips for the afternoon included a Parkway Adventure, hiking to Courthouse Falls, and swimming at Triple and Hooker Falls. Once most of camp was back in the evening, we ate dinner. After that, Dryads left for Sliding Rock while Elves and Pixies had their cabin adventures.
We ate sausage, biscuits, and gravy for breakfast to fuel up for a wonderful Wednesday. A trip to Paradise Falls left in the morning, along with a full-day trip to go caving and Dogwood and Four Wind’s tubing trips. A group of boys from Camp Carolina also came in the morning to compete in climbing competition here at Keystone! We ate grilled cheese and broccoli cheddar soup for lunch and BBQ chicken, beans, and cornbread for dinner. The evening was occupied with Keystone Idol and the Mini 1 cheer, dance, drama, and gymnastics performances.
Happy Thursday! We ate cheesy grits and scrambled eggs for breakfast and celebrated the return of the three-day Camp Crafts trip. Meanwhile, an a.m. trip to Graveyard Fields left as well as an all-day canoeing trip to the Green. L’Orioso and Fairview had their tubing trips and will be back in time for lunch. In the afternoon, a trip to Coontree will leave. From there, all four week campers head out for their big campout in Pisgah! For the two-weekers back at camp, we’ll celebrate our accomplishments this session at final campfire. We appreciate you, ladies!
