Jazz Whyatt

Camp Director

Jazz began her journey here at Keystone in 2017 as a cabin counselor and has held two leadership positions in the years since. Her passion for child education and positively impacting youth led her to earning a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from the University of North Carolina-Pembroke. Prior to joining our year-round team in the summer of 2022, Jazz spent three years as a first grade teacher. Her parents’ military background instilled a love for travel and food. She also dabbles in creative activities like drawing, painting, and crotchet. Jazz is thrilled to be at her happy place year round and looks forward to the summer.

Jessica Page

Director of Equestrian Programs

Jessica has long standing roots at Keystone, having worked every summer during her high school years in our horseback riding program as one of the barn managers. After graduating from Martin Community College with a degree in Equine Technology, and training and showing horses for several years, Jessica’s roots called her home to Keystone. 2023 will be her 15th season running the barn. In the off-season, she enjoys teaching riding lessons to area riders and training her own horse. Jessica and her husband, Jason, enjoy the “camp life” here at Keystone with their German Shorthaired Pointer, Beckley.

Eleanor Mathews

Nursing Director

Eleanor’s Keystone story began when she spent several summers as a camper from Jacksonville, Florida. She returned eight years ago as one of our staff nurses before taking on the director role. After earning a bachelor’s degree in Nursing from Jacksonville University, she spent time working in cardiology, nursing informatics, and the emergency room. But, she’ll tell you her favorite nursing job is at camp! She’ll also tell you her two favorites summers growing up were the summer she spent seven weeks at Keystone and her summer semester with the National Outdoor Leadership School (NOLS) in Kenya. Eleanor and her husband John reside in Hendersonville, where she currently homeschools her two children and serves as a leader in American Heritage Girls. She is also a member of the Alliance for Camp Health.
